The Issues

It is outrageous that a State as affluent as New Jersey has a school funding crisis; it looks to me like a lot of our towns in this Legislative District took the brunt of the cuts. That means your taxes will go up! How could your existing incumbent legislators allow that to happen?
I will spend every day I am in office-- if you elect me-- fighting for our children and their schools, because this is JOB #1.

I am proud to be an advocate for senior citizens personally, and in my job. In utility rate cases, I represent thousands of senior citizens and retired people before the Board of Public Utilities, and as a legislator, I have ideas on how to get control of the skyrocketing electric bills. My own electric bill tops $700 per month. So you know I am motivated to tackle this problem that is impacting your wallet.

Our economy in Monmouth and Ocean Counties is finally thriving, after tough times in the last two recessions, and during COVID, as so much our revenue depends on travel and tourism. We have great schools and are building on our capacity for technical and entertainment industry growth. I will work hard to attract new businesses, and support and retain existing ones by asking for loan and grant support from the Economic Development Authority, and support from other agencies and institutions. I have experience with everything from SIDs/BIDs to litter, security and stormwater problems. I understand stable attractive downtowns are key to a success, as our transit-accessible office parks.

Why do simple tasks involving the State government take so long, or are so confusing? People need help with everything from license renewals and REAL ID from the Motor Vehicle Commission to getting permits or approvals from NJDEP or the Dept. of Community Affairs, and getting help from the Department of Banking and Insurance. I’ve heard so many complaints, and experienced quite a few of my own and for my clients. I can turn many of these complaints or ideas into suggestions for better and more efficient service. And I will always be there, and available, to listen to your ideas, suggestions—and your complaints!

I will make sure that legislation passes that protects our shores, and protects our drinking water safety from “forever chemicals.” I will work to ensure that legacy polluted sites and contaminated aquifers are cleaned up, and that polluters-- not taxpayers-- pay.
I would be honored to represent you, the voters in the coastal communities in the 10th Legislative District, from Spring Lake to So. Toms River.

I’ve been successful at passing laws and obtaining grants and loans for infrastructure projects that range from stormwater control, to historic preservation, safe routes to schools, rail transit extensions, and bike and pedestrian paths. I will prioritize climate resiliency and adaptation projects to protect our coastal communities and our homes and businesses.
